I have over 20 years Marketing experience predominantly working within organisations including IBM, Samsung and Nokia. I have a real passion for brands and great ideas, so would be happy to work with clients from any industry. I am a qualified Marketing professional with a Business Management degree, a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma and a certificate with distinction from the Institute of Direct Marketing.

Kemp Marketing can provide a one off service to complete a small project or work as your outsourced virtual Marketing Manager on agreed monthly hours. We can think strategically and develop a marketing plan for your business, but also we are prepared to roll up our sleeves and do whatever it takes to deliver the right results. Having worked within the marketing and design industries for 20 years, my skills stem from a desire to solve communication problems.

Along the way, I have picked up core skills in behaviour change, branding, design, production and business development strategy. With this, I have worked with SMEs, charities, corporations, international organisations and government departments across the UK. Organisations such as Barnardo’s, Lloyds of London, the Edinburgh Fringe, the Cabinet Office and Computacenter etc.

As part of the process, I have expert knowledge in community development, statutory funding streams, effective marketing processes and innovation.

I have spent the last 15 years working with a variety of Financial Services organisations, in business development, sales, marketing as well as implementing business change.

I have worked with a range of different businesses from small IFA firms through to large organisations such as HSBC and Barclays Wealth. Work has included designing and running events, online marketing campaigns as well as working on strategy to achieve organisations growth and sales ambitions.

More recently, since having children, I have been focusing on small business marketing for holiday lets as well as buy to let property management businesses, where I have seen first-hand the value that social media tools can bring.

With over 15 years of experience in marketing & events, I have worked internationally in Formula One, The America’s Cup & the World Rally Championship for clients such as Credit Suisse, Ferrari & BMW. Following Formula One around the globe has enabled me to experience first-hand how marketing & event programmes translate across different territories & cultures.

Since having my family, I have focused on helping more local start-ups & small businesses. I enjoy drawing on my experience gained within the international arena to create targeted & effective marketing strategies for these businesses. Whether it is an initial marketing consultation to help orientate & focus a business owner or developing & implementing a fully integrated programme, it is extremely rewarding to watch our clients grow as their marketing plans take effect.

James Barrett

James Barrett

With over 10 years experience in digital design and web development, I help determine the best ways for us to visually represent your company’s identity online. This involves development of bespoke design concepts for brand creation, UX/UI design and managing web development projects through to launch.

At first I intended to be an animator and went to university fully motivated to become just that. One thing led to another, a few years went by and I was (almost) a fully-fledged web designer without ever planning to become one.

Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to work with award winning agencies, executives, celebrities and with some industry leading brands such as Vodafone, Nokia, Mastercard and ESPN Sports. At Kemp Marketing I’m constantly improving and developing my skills and can’t hide the fact that I like to set targets and find new ways to become more creative.

I’m also accountable for digital planning and web strategy for our clients, managing resources and scoping for project executions. This includes keeping projects within budget, timelines intact, and clients happy.

Aside from creating digital experiences I enjoy football, cycling, swimming, hiking, travel when I can, music and art.

I am a digital marketing professional with 12 years experience working across a variety of global brands such as Starbucks, Apple and Channel 4. My specialisms include digital marketing strategy, social media marketing and digital media planning and buying. After having my family, I began freelance consulting for small local businesses as well as blogging about my experiences as a modern mum.

What I love most about digital marketing is the ability to be creative whilst delivering value for money in a transparent and accountable way. Whether through harnessing the power of social media to grow your brand, or delivering a hard-working Search campaign to drive people to your website or premises, I believe there is always a way that digital marketing can help your business.

It’s for this reason that I love working with small to medium sized businesses where I know that digital and social media marketing can make a real difference.

I am a digital marketing executive with a background in sales, analytics and client development for financial trading companies including Bloomberg and IG.

Over recent years, I have taken a break from the commercial world to work in nursing for the NHS.

I’m very pleased to have joined the team at Kemp Marketing to develop my career in social media, digital advertising and copywriting.

I am Google AdWords certified in search and mobile and enjoy spending my spare time reading, writing and rummaging through second hand vinyl records. I also like to travel when I can.

I am a Digital Marketing Apprentice with a variety of creative ideas and a passion for Technology. I enjoy working with the rest of the team to enhance my knowledge of marketing, especially through social media. As this is my first job, I look forward to engaging with customers and learning the ins and outs of marketing from my colleagues who have many years of experience. Outside of work, I enjoy boxing, music and supporting Chelsea. I am also working towards a Digital Marketing diploma and, looking forward, I hope to follow in the footsteps of my colleagues to become an expert in this line of work.
